Four Seasons Biltmore Wedding, El Mar Ballroom

It's no secret that I love the Four Seasons Biltmore, and for Danielle and Joel's wedding, I got to combine a number of my passions.  Beautiful decor, great people and of course lots of heirloom jewelry (all of the pieces that bride wore, were REAL family pieces).  A true delight to be a part of.

This gorgeous couple had their wedding ceremony in the Mariposa Garden, overlooking the ocean just before sunset.  We've moved! Please join us at: Ariel Yve Design

Believe it or not, the budget for this wedding was pretty tight (less than $50,000 total).  Rather than spreading the budget thin, Danielle and I chose to focus the majority of our decor funds on the reception.  Of course with that said, we still wanted the look of the ceremony to still look cohesive with the grandeur of the reception to follow.

We achieved our goal by having 4 of the tall reception centerpieces serve double duty, and act as the main focal point for ceremony.  The aisle was scattered in a dramatic yet cost effect ombre style petal treatment (inspired by one of the brides favorite designer gowns).

The reception decor in the El Mar was a symphony of chocolate browns, creams, corals and pinks.  The centerpieces were pulled in from the ceremony, where they were placed atop my tall glass taper vases and swagged with crystal strands ( A new look from the wrought iron candelabra bases used for the ceremony).  The ceiling was engulfed in a flurry of GOBO projected swirls, which had the guests in complete awe the moment the ballroom doors opened.
The cake was simple yet diva-fied.  Again to keep costs down we had the Four Seasons Biltmore Pastry Chef create the simplest, most cost effect, plain rolled fondant cake he could.  We added our own twist of glamor by incorporating the bride's blinged out rhinestone belts and 3 dozen full blown pink, coral and champagne colored roses.

Later in the night, after all of the formalities, the beautiful bride surprised her handsome and handy husband with an adorable Groom's cake that was make to look like a the quintessential "guys" toolbox.  He was completely thrilled that she'd managed incorporate such a personal and sweet surprise just for him (Joel loves sugar).

Danielle and Joel, it was a pleasure to work with you and become your friend.  May you enjoy a lifetime of sweet surprises together.
